About Cub Scouting Cub Scouting was founded in 1930 by The Boy Scouts of America for boys younger than Boy Scout age. Since then Cub Scouting has grown to be the largest of all the BSA programs. Cub Scouting is still going strong providing a year-round, home centered program that emphasizes involvement between boys and their parents, boys and their leaders, and boys and their friends. In the multi-dimensional program of Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouting is where it all begins. Cub Scouting is a great way for boys and their families to find fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program—all while they're having a great time with their friends and families. Scouting is Family Oriented:
